FAQs

COVID-19

The Prime Minister’s confirmation that formal Covid-19 restrictions ended on Monday 19 July means that the concerts at Castle Howard looks set to operate in a far more familiar, effectively “normal” manner.

As the Prime Minister has stressed, the coming weeks will require a significant degree of personal responsibility. If you do feel unwell, have covid symptoms or have been advised to self isolate you should not attend the event. We will have Track & Trace QR codes positioned throughout the venue and would ask all attendees to scan and check in on arrival.

The Government guidance around “hands, face, space, fresh air” remains appropriate advice to all individuals attending a concert at Castle Howard. We will provide plenty of hand sanitiser, guidance and signage around the site to support this advice. Of course, being an outdoor concert, we have plenty of fresh air and space for concert goers to distance themselves if they feel this is appropriate and more comfortable to them. Government guidance to individuals regarding face coverings is that these are advisable when indoors or in a busy area. Please be aware that this is Government guidance to individuals, so we would recommend wearing face coverings in busy areas.

To make concertgoers aware in advance, we will not be mandating concertgoers to wear face coverings when in busy areas – rather it is encouraged and recommended. Our close contact team, such as those in the bar areas will be lateral flow tested daily. Staff onsite will be given the option to wear face coverings.

All concert goers who opted to keep their 2020 tickets will have been emailed with instructions on how to use the tickets for this year. If you have not seen an email, please check your junk/spam folder first.

If you still can’t find an email, or you have misplaced your tickets, this support link will be able to help: https://support.seetickets.com.

Do you have child tickets available?

Castle Howard Proms is a family event, and we welcome music lovers of all ages.

• Children aged under five can attend for free and do not need a ticket
• Children aged five to 16 can enter with a child ticket

Please note: All children must be accompanied by a full paying adult and are the responsibility of their parent or guardian attending with them. No more than four under 16s per adult.

Will tickets be available on the day?

Tickets are strictly subject to availability, so it is always best to purchase your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. It will also save you money as ticket prices may also increase on the day.

Should tickets be available to purchase on the day of the concert, we will make an announcement about prices and availability closer to the event.
